Description
JOIN US FOR A VIRTUAL INFORMATION SESSION TO LEARN MORE ABOUT CWTAP!
The Child Welfare Training and Advancement Program (CWTAP) supports training excellence for Washington State’s child welfare workforce by providing financial assistance to social work students and professionals. This state-funded partnership connects the UW School of Social Work and the Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF). For over 30 years, CWTAP has offered specialized field education in select DCYF offices, focusing on areas such as abuse and neglect prevention, protective services, permanency planning, solution-based casework, and working with diverse populations. Upon completing their MSW, participants commit to seeking employment with DCYF in the Child Welfare Operations Division in an approved position or with pre-approval for a Federally Recognized Tribe for a period equal to the time they received financial support in the CWTAP Program.
